Scope of PositionWith responsibility for security systems and technology to protect Applied Materials around the world, the Senior Manager, Global Security Systems & Technology must think holistically about security systems and how they impact the employee and visitor experience. This role serves as the leader of the global security systems team, drives modernization, application engineering, innovation, and lifecycle initiatives through expert management of direct reports and security vendors to meet stakeholders’ expectations.Key AccountabilitiesLead enterprise-capable global security systems and technology organizationDevelop, track, and maintain reporting of budgets, schedules, and written analysis of all global security technologyManage complete inventory of security systems technology devices and infrastructureIdentify emerging technology to help solve security challenges while improving program performance. Work collaboratively with partners in Global Security, Global Information Services (IT), Facilities, and vendorsLead security systems repair and maintenance activitiesLeadership Skills RequiredDemonstrates sound judgment and effective time managementMust have 100% credibility, objectivity and respect across all parts of the businessAbility to collaborate with other management groups (IT, HR, Finance, Legal)Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skillsKnowledge of security operations and proceduresKnowledge of security systems operationsExcellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional teamAvailable on an on-call basis for emergenciesWilling to travel internationallyProfessional Expertise/ KnowledgeBachelor’s degree is preferred although combination of work experience and education may be acceptedProject budgeting experience for small to large scale projectsStrong IT and systems architecture knowledgeExperience7-10 years in a similar role within a security organizationWorking knowledge of MS Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio; SharePoint -- web design)Team leadership experience, leadership of a security systems technology function preferredStrong and effective written and verbal communications skills, including presentationsSkillsDeep expertise in a variety of electronic physical security systems and technology, including video surveillance, access control, video intercoms, turnstiles, etc.High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Windows (All)Service-oriented/customer-driven approachExcellent organizational and presentation skillsEducationBachelor’s degree from accredited universityQualifications

$136,000.00 - $187,000.00The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
