Director, Quality - Skin HealthThe Director, Quality - Skin Health acts as the primary quality contact for Skin Health Category holding category accountability and ensuring compliance with regional quality standards and regulations. This role combines the responsibilities of divisional quality oversight and technical services leadership to ensure the highest product quality and successful launches of new skin health products. The role is based in Piscatway, NJ.

What you will do

Primary Contact and Skin Health-Category Responsibility:

Serve as the primary quality contact within the Skin Health division.

Hold responsibility for ensuring quality compliance and excellence.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regional and international quality standards and regulations.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary updates.

Quality Improvement Initiatives:

Lead and implement both global and regional quality initiatives.

Collaborate with Technology, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to ensure Right First Time (RFT) design and execution for all new and existing products.

Technical Oversight:

Provide technical oversight for new product launches and ongoing quality maintenance.

Resolve technical issues and drive technical quality.

Integrate QbD (Quality by Design) principles into product development.

Ensure quality is built into products from the initial design phase through to production.

Ensure the Technology Transfer process for new products is driven in accordance with Global Quality Standard requirements.

Quality Performance Monitoring:

Own Global Skin Health quality performance and report to the Global Quality Leader.

Develop and lead key performance indicators (KPIs) to supervise quality performance.

Team Management:

Lead Quality Managers.

Develop and deliver technical training programs for quality personnel.

Consumer Feedback and Enhancement:

Incorporate consumer feedback into quality improvement initiatives.

Ensure sustained product excellence and align products with consumer expectations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with Technology teams to drive quality and compliance.

Champion cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive quality strategies and execution.

Crisis Management:

Manage crisis management related to major Skin Health quality issues.

External Manufacturer:

Support the Quality on-boarding process for new External Manufacturers and monitoring of existing ones.

Ensure swift implementation of CAPA and other Follow-up action plans.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree.

12+ years of industrial experience preferably in Skin Health or Personal Care, working on OTCs and with external manufacturers, which may include positions in Quality, R&D, Operations, or Regulatory.

Thorough understanding of the regulatory environment within the region.

Close connection with the Regulatory team, R&D, Marketing, and Plants, and identifying the impact on Quality.

Experience leading teams in multiple countries.

Application of continuous improvement tools to effect positive change.

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science degree, a Ph.D. and/or Post-Graduate Degree in Management.

Proficient in Google tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) SAP PDM or Dashlab.

Clear, simple, and timely communication of information.

Additional Requirements

Travel: Less than 30%.

Languages: English (fluent in written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

Other Skills: Planning, priority setting, decision making, effective communication with different stakeholders, team players, leadership and coaching skills.

Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range $207,000.00 - $228,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.

Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements.

Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually.

Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually.

Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year.

Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements).
