excluded by the Charter from the competitive Civil Service examination process. It is considered "at will" and shall serve at the discretion of the Department Head. The Net Zero Carbon Lead will focus on delivering the airport’s Zero Carbon Strategic Goal.You are excited about this opportunity because you will:Collect and synthesize data needed for greenhouse gas emissions reporting.Finalize and implement SFO’s first Net Zero Carbon plan.Develop an Airfield Decarbonization strategy.Assemble, track, and earmark campus-wide utility consumption.Plan for and lead the implementation of capital and/or operations projects.Software-enable, monitor and report on SFO’s carbon-free transportation assets.Research and prepare grant applications.Collaborate closely with other departments.Facilitate working groups with internal stakeholders and external partners.Minimum Qualifications:Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.Experience:

Three (3) years’ full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work.Substitution:

Possession of a graduate degree may be substituted for one (1) year of required experience.Desirable Qualifications:2+ years of Sustainability experience in the aviation/airport industry2+ years’ experience in greenhouse gas emissions analyses2+ years’ experience in campus-wide utilities reporting2+ years’ experience in electric vehicle supply equipment analyticsVERIFICATIONApplicants may be required to submit verification of qualifying education and experience.SELECTION PROCEDURESThe selection process will include evaluation of applications in relation to minimum requirements.Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Clearance:
