The Director of Manufacturing Operations will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, including production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and safety. This role is critical in ensuring the plant operates at peak performance while meeting customer demands and adhering to budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement (and should not be afraid to get their hands dirty if needed.)
Key Responsibilities:
Process improvement:
Analyze, investigate, and improve business processes to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency
Budget and inventory management:
Manage budgets, forecast, and allocate resources to meet business goals
Vendor management:
Manage relationships with vendors, ensure they meet contractual obligations, and negotiate favorable terms
Health and safety:
Maintain and enforce health and safety guidelines
Performance management:
Monitor team, machinery, and process performance, provide executive-level strategic feedback and analytics, reporting, coaching, and training to improve performance
Cross-departmental collaboration:
Foster collaboration across teams to achieve operational goals, maximize productivity, and minimize mistakes
Data analysis:
Collect and analyze data to make informed decisions that benefit the organization
Leadership:
Delegate tasks, motivate teams, provide solutions for conflicts, and manage the plant staff
Critical Thinking / Problem Solving:
Act as the operational visionary for new product development, market opportunities, testing, viability, product problem solving, etc.
Customer interaction:
Proactively communicate production-related events to internal stakeholders and external customers
Inventory:
Innovate and improve our inventory management processes and reports
Qualifications:
Proven experience in managing manufacturing plants, with a track record of operational improvements, innovation, and cost reductions.
Mechanical skillset
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

$75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
