Program Summary
KBR’s Aviation & Ground Systems Directorate provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Army’s Aviation and Ground soldiers with project based and full-time personnel support services. KBR sets the standard with a wide range of services including Government Engineering, Logistics, Business, and International focuses, while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellence in contract deliverables.
Job Summary
Responsible for the daily execution and technical management of complex efforts in support of Army Program Office and commercial customers. Candidate will assist in developing organizational strategies, technical policies, technical implementation plans, and developing technical staffing strategies. With general autonomy, establishes and maintains the technical standards within the MAGS organization. Sets strategic and tactical direction with regard to policy/procedures, work force staffing, and budgeting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collects, completes, manages, organizes, and interprets technical data and financial information relating to program and organizational execution.
Provides strategy and expertise for emerging compliancy requirements in systems architecture.
Assists the Army customer in coordinating and briefing project information as well as assisting the Army customer in solutioning based on specified customer requests.
Develops program estimates for new business and manages cost expended against legacy budgets.
Develops/maintains tracking techniques to monitor program execution, using existing information and reporting systems.
Manages contractual requirements to ensure successful contract performance for multiple contract vehicles.
Facilitates and manages product and process improvements in support of maturing the organization and compliance with ISO 9001 & AS9100 processes.
Provides supervision and mentorship to multi-discipline engineers, technical leads, and technicians in support of key customers.
Basic Qualifications:
20+ years direct experience with Army engineering/integration activities.
Direct experience managing and developing technology plans for internal investment projects.
Direct demonstrated experience managing product development projects for the Army including hardware and software.
Must have in-depth experience with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) and FACE definition and architecture approaches for compliance with Army long term vision/requirements.
Must have in-depth experience with model-based systems engineering techniques and process.
Direct relevant experience with the standards and requirements being developed by the Architecture Collaboration Working Group (ACWG) and knowledge of how to implement them effectively.
Direct experience with aviation avionics system architecture development for on-platform integration and qualification.
Direct experience supporting Army customers in Huntsville, AL.
Direct experience advising or managing Government compliance requirements in execution of business.
Master’s degree in engineering.
Place of performance is Huntsville, AL.
Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
Some travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with implementing Digital Engineering principles and developing tools.
Experience with the multiple Army systems for the required qualification and skills above.
Program Management experience.
Manufacturing experience.
