Job Description
This Vice President is responsible for leading and managing the data platforms, infrastructure, data engineering, product management and business intelligence work for the Global Data Office. This position will lead the team to support the function. This is an essential role leading our strategic pillar to democratize data and analytics across Visa and for our clients, to unlock the value of our data. Initial focus areas include:
Responsibilities include:
Data Platforms: critical in shaping the future direction of our business and works hands-on with the Global Data Office (GDO) leadership team and the Data and AI Platform Technology leadership team to frame and address critical business strategy and operational needs that drive how we collect, manage, and work with data. In close partnership with the Data Technology team, responsible for defining and driving the appropriate data technology and capabilities needed to unleash the value of our data for Visa and our clients.
Data Engineering: collaborate with Technology at Visa to address tool and technology challenges, enhancing data science and engineering tasks for increased efficiency and innovation. Will also provide innovative thought leadership for delivering scalable, well-controlled data insights to diverse clients through a services-oriented architecture.
Product Management: responsible for defining and executing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products, ensuring alignment with business goals. Drive a transformation from the current product centric model, to more of a platform model to drive scale and flexibility.
Business Intelligence: oversee data management, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility from various sources. Will lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics, reporting systems, and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD).
At least 7 years of leadership experience in payments or processing solutions management.
Experience and in-depth understanding of the product development lifecycle, market research techniques, and competitive analysis to inform strategy.
Strong business acumen, including financial management and strategic planning.
Experience with service architecture and developing scalable technology products for a diverse customer base.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Strong people leader, with passion for building and managing a diverse, talented, curious, and driven team.
Experienced collaborator at all levels, effectively managing through challenges.
Demonstrated success in managing support for existing product sets and executing on go to market initiatives.
Results-oriented leader with focus on delivering against quantitative goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage operational disruptions.

Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
This position will be performed in an office setting.
