Regional Vice President, Operations

Who Are You:
Operations is responsible for all “make and deliver” functions within each state operation. This includes state level cultivation, manufacturing, inventory/supply chain, and facilities functions. The Regional Vice President of Operations is accountable for the oversight and leadership of all field operations throughout the Central Region. The role will manage all strategic and tactical initiatives in their region’s cultivation and manufacturing facilities, as well as liaison with all operations and shared services business partners across the organization. The focus will be to lead state teams in their facilities to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive and effective set of standards and processes/programs to deliver on key metrics at the highest levels: Safety, Compliance, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (engagement and morale).
What You Will Do:
Metric Based Results – Responsible for monitoring and achieving all level one corporate financial metrics, and sub-level KPIs at the field level to ensure overall business success within operations. Also responsible for managing to all budgets including CAPEX, OPEX, and labor headcounts at the state level.
Strategic Leadership – Work closely with Senior Leadership (SLT, ELT, and OLT) on quarterly, annual, and long-range strategic growth and cost initiatives to ensure business continuity within operations.
Tactical Leadership – Work closely with the field leadership teams by coaching, guiding, mentoring, and encouraging daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly on tactical initiatives to successfully deliver against state business plans and goals related to “make and deliver” supporting top line revenue growth while controlling P&L costs, with a focus on Safety, Quality, and Productivity through Continuous Improvement.
Coordination with Support and Partner Functions – Partner with OLT support departments (including but not limited to Supply Chain Planning, Ops Services, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Project Management) to ensure harmonization across all state level field operations. Also, partner with national shared services departments (including but not limited to Revenue, Finance/FP&A, HR/TA, Compliance, IT, Commercialization and Marketing, etc.) to ensure field operations is supported and is successful on delivering to plan through capacity initiatives.
Strategic leadership position that requires operational expertise.
Ability to think strategically and effectively communicate at the executive level.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage operational expansion.
Perform critical discernment of cannabis cultivation and cannabis quality and excel at sales and operation planning (S&OP).
Travel Requirements: 75%.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelors Degree (BA, BS) in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience.
Over 10 years’ experience in the Operations leadership roles with demonstrated ability to develop leaders, team and processes from the ground up.
Over 5 years’ experience within an FDA controlled, SQF or cGMP certified production environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills with an emphasis on driving for results and strategic thinking and planning.
Strong team orientation and relationship-building skills; ability to influence behaviors. Effective collaborator with a record of consensus building with internal/external parties.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within and outside of the organization.
Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks and issues simultaneously and perform assigned responsibilities at a high level in a fast-paced, often changing environment.
Ability to function as a strategic advisor to and foster constructive relationships with Team Members at all levels, including senior-level executives, peers, and frontline employees.
