We are seeking software engineers to join our growing team that develops cryptographic services that are leveraged across many of the most business-critical functions within Apple to protect our most sensitive information. Description The Crypto Services team at Apple is responsible for protecting some of the most sensitive and critical data you can imagine. Utilizing cryptographic keys and functions, we provide applications and services that are leveraged across many of the most business-critical functions within Apple. You will collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to define features, and work closely with other members of Crypto Services to design, implement and deliver these as comprehensive, high volume, low latency, fault-tolerant and highly available security solutions. Minimum Qualifications
3 years object oriented design & software development experience (Java, C++, etc.) 3 years experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) 3 years modern CI/CD tooling and build systems experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent or foreign equivalent degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Solid understanding and application of computer science fundamentals Experience building, orchestrating, and deploying highly scalable REST based APIs Knowledge of PKI fundamentals and applied cryptography Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL database technology Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools Knowledge of applied security concepts (authentication, authorization, OWASP Top 10 Risks, etc.)
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
