Our tech combined with our delivery model lets our customers deploy vector search that is relevant, reliable and cost efficient within minutes, not months.We’re backed by Lightspeed, Blackbird Ventures, January Capital and the founders of Cohere.ai and have raised $18 million in funding and working with some of the most innovative ecommerce customers.Position OverviewWe are looking for a Founding Business Development Rep to drive inbound and outbound strategies to build pipeline. You will be critical to building out this org and the overall success of the company. You’ll be working cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product to accelerate sales processes and help provide a continuous feedback loop to sales, product and engineering.This role is based in our San Francisco HQ. We offer relocation support to new employees depending on experience.As part of this role, you’ll be involved in:Deeply understanding your customers' business challenges and how to position Marqo as the solution.Qualify inbound leads, via meetings, email, phone or chat-bots.Build quality, qualified pipeline in targeted accounts.Partner with Account Executives and Sales Engineers to run discovery and demos.Help improve the blueprint for scaling the SDR function at Marqo.Work closely with the sales teams to research and strategize on how to approach targeted accounts.Use a variety of tools to identify and prospect key contacts at target accounts.Execute appropriate outbound strategies by building out relevant content (e.g., case studies, emails, screencasts, presentations) to engage the prospect.Be an active part of the team(s), sharing best practices and participating in team meetings.Use the Salesforce platform to manage, track and report sales activities and results.Responsible for qualifying new leads and driving pipeline within your assigned territory.Preferred Qualifications1 year of experience in B2B SaaS.Inbound/outbound SDR experience with a technical product (engineers or data end users).Experience in enterprise SaaS, infrastructure, open source, and/or ML/AI technologies.What you would getA collaborative, open, idea-heavy culture.Competitive compensation, including equity.The chance to build from the ground up a high growth company.The ability to contribute to, and learn from, a growing startup.Flexibility of work hours.Marqo is an equal opportunity employer and we champion diversity.
