About the Role
As the
VP of Product , you will hold a very important role in the company. You will report directly to the CEO, leading and coordinating product and design at the company. The role will be solely responsible for creating a winning product strategy that effectively productizes all the marketable innovation at Aclima. You will also be responsible for the entirety of all the value and feasibility risk of all products and services Aclima creates and offers in the market. This important role will evangelize the product’s value proposition internally and externally.
You will be responsible for setting a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives. Also, for defining what success looks like and working with the product team to create a roadmap to execute and achieve it. You will marshal resources across all cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure that the product development process runs smoothly. Finally, acting as the executive liaison between different departments to mobilize execution, facilitate communication, and drive collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Vision:
Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that productizes Aclima’s innovations, and aligns with Aclima’s mission and growth objectives.
Maintain a strong focus on customer needs and market trends. Drive the collection and analysis of customer feedback and competitive intelligence.
Work closely with customers to understand gaps in the market, and customer pain points.
Identify and analyze market opportunities and define the product vision, roadmap, and priorities to drive innovation and differentiation for Aclima in the climate tech sector.
Lead the product team in translating complex technical capabilities into user-centric products that deliver clear value to governments, industries, and communities.
Product Development and Management:
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet market needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data science, and marketing, to bring products to life and ensure successful execution of the product roadmap.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product success and drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into product development.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to position Aclima as a trusted partner in climate technology solutions.
Represent Aclima at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our products and expand our network.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of learning, openness, collaboration, winning, and excellence.
Provide guidance and support to team members, empowering them to achieve professional growth and contribute to Aclima’s success.
Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and effective execution of product initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience:
10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the climate tech or environmental technology sector.
A track record of building successful products for Public Sector customers.
Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products for government and industry clients, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and procurement processes.
Strong experience in leading product development teams and managing complex product portfolios.
Skills:

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Pay Transparency
The base salary range for this full-time exempt position if located in the SF Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, or Seattle metro region is $221,000 - $289,000 + equity + benefits. For all other regions, the range is $190,000 - $248,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and are informed by current market data provided by Carta Total Comp.
Within those ranges, individual pay is determined by exact region and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The hiring manager can share more about the specific salary range for your geographic region during the hiring process. Employee must continue to reside within 90 miles of location used to determine starting salary, otherwise Aclima reserves the right to make regional adjustments to pay.
