Monitors consultants/contractors monthly performance
Represents project team in meetings with consultant staff, contractors, and outside agencies
Supervises in-house and consultant staff
Monitors and updates Contract documents
Oversees preparation and implementation of Project Management Plans
Communicates and implements safety rules, policies, and procedures in support of the client agency's safety vision and goals; and maintains accountability for the safety performance of all subordinate employees
Complies with all of Client Agency’s safety rules, policies, and procedures
Cost Control
Supervises Cost Analysts to analyze, develop, control and report budget and project costs
Prepares and analyzes project cashflow, commitment plans, funding and manpower plans in accordance with grant and funding contribution agreements
Ensures implementation of Client Agency policies, procedures, and plans regarding cost management of multi-million dollar complex construction capital projects
Evaluates contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget
Ensures accurate financial records are maintained and documented
Prepares and ensures accuracy and consistency of quality of project cost baseline plan and periodic updates to current cost status reports
Identifies cost related problems which arise during project execution and recommends corrective actions and creative solutions
Oversees cost forecasting and invoice processing
Schedule Control
Prepares, analyzes, and implements project design and construction schedules to ensure conformance with authorized scope, cost, and schedule requirements
Prepares and ensures accuracy and consistency of schedule baseline plans and periodic schedule status reports
Ensures implementation of Client Agency policies, procedures, and plans regarding schedule management of multi-million dollar complex construction capital projects
Identifies schedule related problems which arise during project execution and recommends corrective actions and creative solutions
Evaluates contract change orders and amendments for impact on schedule
Ensures accurate schedule records are maintained and documented
Reviews and analyzes contractor’s baseline schedule and subsequent updates
Qualifications:
Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office
At least 15 years or more of road & highway, and/or rail & transit project experience
Experience working with Caltrans or similar agency is preferable
Skilled in oral and written communication
Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications.
Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications, for example Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.

Pay: $155,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year
