Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Regional Water Program Director to lead our Wastewater and SSES programs. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in areas such as Wastewater and Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Studies (SSES), Wet Infrastructure Management, Condition Assessment, Wastewater Design, Sanitary Sewer Flow Monitoring & Analysis, and a comprehensive understanding of sewer system hydraulics and physical processes. This role requires a highly focused individual, well-established in the industry, who can lead the growth of our team and secure project work at both regional and national levels, enhancing Woolpert’s Water capabilities across the U.S.
Responsibilities:
Regional sales and growth of our SSES and water/wastewater services focusing on the Midwest through the establishment or improvement of client relationships.
Work across Water Market areas to develop business opportunities and assure services are performed in a manner compatible with Woolpert’s goal of being an industry leader.
Build and enhance existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities within the client base for SSES and water/wastewater services.
Identify and build new client relationships that match the client and project type focus and overall business strategy.
Promote Woolpert as an industry leader for SSES and water/wastewater services with new and existing clients.
Perform negotiation of project schedule, fee, scope, and contract terms.
Mentor staff.
Identify, address and resolve any project issues impacting client goals, objectives and/or client satisfaction.
Define and communicate client needs and expectations.
Ensure continuous stakeholder (client, client’s manager, etc.) communications addressing, resolving, and anticipating project issues.
Industry leader representing Woolpert by attending conferences and involvement in local and industry organizations, groups and committees.
Work experience and client relationships.
Qualifications:
BA/BS and 16 years related experience, MA/MS and 14 years related experience or 20 years related industry experience.
Candidate must have strong business development sales acumen and project management skills.
Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of information and data.
Must demonstrate an enterprising, innovative, proactive management approach.
Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability.
Must be able to research and define multiple project scopes, schedules and budgets.
Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients, vendors, management, and employees.
Must possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Must possess excellent facilitation and/or meeting skills.
Must possess excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.
Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.
Must be able to travel as required to meet the needs and demands of the Market.
