OverviewThe Program Director position is primarily responsible for sales and growth within Woolpert's industry-leading Transportation Planning, Design, and Geospatial services area focused on Ohio, particularly Southwest Ohio, including the greater Dayton and Cincinnati Metropolitan areas through the establishment or improvement of client relationships. In particular, Woolpert is seeking a leader in Innovation that can help grow our client base in relation to Urban and Community Planning and Smart Mobility (including Autonomous Vehicles and Advanced Air Mobility). This position is also responsible for working across practice areas and service lines to develop business opportunities and assure services are performed in a manner compatible with the goal of being an industry leader. The Program Director is a "seller-doer" that serves as a Principal Consultant and Subject Matter Expert on complex, multiple cross-discipline project teams with a focus on enhancing the client's position and Woolpert's value proposition with a strong client focus.

Responsibilities

Builds and enhances existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities within a client base for the service line, practice area and firm.

Identifies and creates new client relationships that match the client and project type focus and overall business strategy of the service line and practice area.

Promotes Woolpert as an industry leader for specified market/practice and service(s) with new and existing clients.

Collaborates with other PD's, PM's, and others within Woolpert in the lifecycle of project identification and pursuit.

Supports the preparation and coordination of firm presence at practice-related trade, professional, or civic marketing functions.

Supports the creation of proposals and marketing material to support the firm's continued client strategy.

Assists project managers in or performs negotiation of project schedule, fee, scope and contract term.

Mentors Project Managers.

Works with Project Managers to identify, address and resolve any project issues impacting client goals, objectives and/or client satisfaction.

Defines and communicates client needs and expectations.

Ensures continuous stakeholder (client, client's manager, etc.) communications addressing, resolving and anticipating project issues.

Qualifications

Must have a BA/BS and 16 years related experience, MA/MS and 14 years related experience, or 20 years related experience.

Directly responsible for selling approximately $3,000,000 on an annual basis.

Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.

Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of information and data.

Must demonstrate an enterprising, innovative, proactive management approach.

Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability.

Must be able to research and define multiple project scopes, schedules and budgets.

Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients, vendors, management and employees.

Must possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Must possess excellent facilitation and/or meeting skills.

Must possess excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.

Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.

Must be able to travel as required to meet the needs and demands of the practice.
