We are seeking an expert and thought leader with deep policy knowledge. You will identify risks, provide recommendations, and act as a trusted advisor to the EMEA Head of Global Know Your Customer Quality Assurance (KYC QA), the North American and APAC KYC QA leads, and business line partners.
As a Vice President Global Quality Assurance and Specialized Review within the Global Know Your Customer Quality Assurance (KYC QA) organization, you will lead the Specialized Secondary Review testing function. Your mission will be to oversee the sampling and testing of customer KYC profiles and targeted records with unique AML risk factors. You will perform self-assessments of KYC QA testing results to ensure compliance with internal procedures and quality standards. Additionally, you will conduct targeted testing and special reviews of business line KYC records to identify risks and provide recommendations for compliance with corporate KYC policy requirements. This role involves developing and managing a testing coverage strategy and leading a team of senior analysts across multiple sites with in-depth KYC policy and QA procedure knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
Solicit input from key stakeholders to define and execute a targeted testing strategy for business lines to assess emerging AML risk trends globally.
Deliver KYC QA program improvements by proactively identifying and addressing quality issues within the KYC QA team.
Elevate KYC QA capabilities in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
Maintain a team of strong KYC subject matter experts by providing coaching, guidance, and identifying learning and training objectives.
Guide the development of processes and procedures to keep the Specialized Secondary Review function at the forefront of risk identification and mitigation.
Provide expert AML and KYC guidance to the KYC QA team and business lines.
Contribute to the development of training content to enhance organizational capability in identifying financial crimes risk and red flag indicators.
Combine superior KYC policy knowledge with strong operational and quality assurance execution.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Strong client focus and interpersonal leadership, partnership, and influencing skills.
Ability to effectively communicate complex policy and operational concepts to both senior management and junior staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to support a high-impact team.
Ability to navigate and provide direction amidst changing requirements.
Ability to interpret and apply regulatory and compliance policies when establishing guidelines, metrics, and processes.
Expert knowledge and experience in quality assurance testing techniques and methodologies, as well as AML rules and regulations related to KYC.
Minimum of 5 years of AML/KYC Compliance, Audit, or Operations management experience.
BS/BA Degree
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
MBA or other graduate degree is a plus
