Associate Director - Supply Chain Planning Global Process Lead (GPL)The Supply Chain Planning Global Process Lead (GPL) is accountable for delivering Supply Chain innovation and maturity through the implementation of new and improved processes and practices. The Supply Chain Planning Global Process Lead (GPL) provides process optimization and assessment solutions to drive standardization, value, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and improve overall operational Supply Chain performance in the area of supply planning, demand planning, collaboration with site scheduling, and product segmentation within PDM. As part of GSC Excellence & Strategy, you will be a central part of the GSC organization and provide direction and leadership across the key PDM processes. The GPL is expected to be a catalyst and enabler across GSC and PDM value streams to drive teams toward clarity in terms of the business process and the solution needed.Responsibilities:
Process Optimization: In partnership with planning operations, solicit and identify opportunities for streamlining and improving planning processes and product segmentation logic while also connecting demand and supply planning to execution across the end to end supply chain, to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.The GPL is a key role in the ERP governance council and serves on a team within GSC that is the initial point of assessment and approval for ERP enhancements and changes proposed by the business. He/She will partner with the business and IT to evaluate the business need and value proposition for proposed changes to the ERP system and its boundary applications based on its impact or enhancement to relevant business processes.Lead process design sessions and partner with Global Supply Chain, Direct Procurement and Commercial Trade Operations business units on assessing process health and points of pain and developing solutions that help support process execution.Standardization: Advise on the development and implementation of standardized processes, procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across all global supply chain operations.Performance Metrics: Define and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain processes and regularly monitor performance against targets.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and quality assurance to align process understanding and adherence.Lead assessment, implementation, and integration of strategic technology platforms in the Supply Chain Planning processes. Provide design and technical advisory input to the operations teams leading to the recommendation of path forward.Partner with IT to manifest process improvements systematically.Maintain responsibility for and help ensure that the process and technology components of SC are seamlessly integrated to other areas.Work within Process & Technology Solutions team to develop process performance monitoring, performance benchmarking, test automation and integration with other applications.Take responsibility and ownership as a leader in the following areas:Lead process governance projects and initiatives, including mapping current state processes, mapping future state processes, and implementing process changes.Identify and document process gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend and implement solutions.Develop metrics and reporting to monitor process performance and measure the impact of process changes.Develop and maintain process standards and best practices.Provide training and coaching to business teams on process excellence concepts, tools, and techniques.Support and mentor process improvement teams to ensure successful attainment of process goals.Collaborate with other departments to identify potential areas of process improvement.Foster a process excellence culture by communicating process excellence initiatives, progress, and results.Basic Qualifications:
10+ years relevant experience in related field and a BS or BA; OR 8+ years of relevant experience and a MA/MBA.Strong understanding of supply chain principles, methodologies, and best practices.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify actionable insights.Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives.Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Preferred Skills:
Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment highly desirable.Experience in supply/demand planning operations and managing the planning of material transfers.Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, STEM field, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.The salary range for this position is: $177,905.00 - $230,230.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
