Remote PLM (Teamcenter) Project Manager

As a Project Manager in our PLM (Teamcenter) Services division, you will be responsible for leading the successful execution of PLM-related projects, ensuring they meet client expectations, are delivered on time, and stay within scope and budget. You will collaborate closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to deliver complex, integrated PLM solutions that improve product development processes across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end PLM implementation and optimization projects for external clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Work closely with clients to understand their business processes and requirements, providing expert guidance on how to best leverage PLM systems to meet their goals.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables based on client needs, while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Act as the main point of contact between the client and internal consulting teams, facilitating communication and managing expectations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, supply chain, R&D, etc.) within the client organization to ensure smooth integration of PLM systems with other enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, CAD).
Provide expert advice on PLM best practices, system configurations, and process improvements tailored to client-specific challenges.
Manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring effective resolution and mitigating potential project disruptions.
Lead project workshops, training sessions, and change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of PLM solutions by client teams.
Conduct post-project reviews and assessments to ensure project success and provide recommendations for further PLM optimization.
Identify opportunities for additional consulting engagements or follow-up services that add value to the client.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of project management experience, with a focus on delivering PLM system implementations for external clients across industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, electronics, or consumer goods.
Proven experience with PLM systems (e.g., PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter (preferred), Dassault Systèmes ENOVIA, or Oracle Agile PLM) in a consulting or client-facing role.
Strong client management skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, multi-client environment.
Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
Extensive experience in managing PLM implementation and integration projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource needs.
Ability to engage with senior-level client stakeholders to provide thought leadership and technical expertise on PLM strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing project requirements and client needs.
Strong knowledge of PLM processes, product data management, and digital transformation within product development lifecycles.
Familiarity with enterprise project management tools such as MS Project or Jira.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
Ability to travel to client sites when necessary.
Must have a strong appetite for quickly learning new technologies and be able to quickly adapt to changes.
Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to give both business facing and technical presentations that convey complex topics.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
