has partnered with an exceptional AmLaw 200 law firm to locate a highly skilled Associate to join their Healthcare team in the Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of civil litigation experience and a familiarity with medical malpractice or elder abuse law. All candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.Responsibilities include:Providing legal counsel and advocacy on behalf of clientsHandling all written discovery from service to completionPreparing for and attending trials as neededCommunicating professionally with clients, colleagues, and opposing counselDeveloping and carrying out overall litigation strategyProficient in all aspects of written discovery and depositionsPreparing and arguing motionsHandling pre-trial preparation responsibilitiesConducting legal research and analysisThe salary range is $140,000-$160,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The firm offers health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, vacation, sick time, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
