to join our team in
Washington, D.C.

The RDIM/RAVEN Visualization Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing user-centered visual analytics solutions for the Department of Defense’s Readiness Decision Impact Model (RDIM) and Readiness Analytics Visualization Environment (RAVEN).This role blends design thinking and business analysis to craft intuitive, data-driven tools that empower decision-makers with actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, refining, and optimizing data visualizations that provide clarity on readiness metrics, driving more effective strategic decisions.Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to translate complex readiness data into intuitive visualizations and dashboards for the RAVEN web application.Utilize design thinking to develop user-centered interfaces that facilitate interaction with RDIM models for non-technical users.Work closely with client stakeholders and team engineers to gather, process, and visualize data from disparate DoD sources, ensuring the seamless integration of data.Lead efforts in prototyping and iterating on visualization tools, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.Perform requirements gathering and analysis to ensure that visual solutions meet DoD’s operational and strategic goals.Design and implement advanced visualization models and reports, offering a clear view of readiness trade-offs and their impact on future force capabilities, and accepting and integrating feedback from stakeholders.Create and maintain technical and user documentation for software products, ensuring users can interact effectively with the tools.Support ISO/IEEE 29148-2018 standards by ensuring visualization solutions align with system requirements and lifecycle processes.Work independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field.A minimum of 3 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Proven experience in data visualization design and tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.Strong background in UI/UX design with the ability to create user-friendly interfaces for complex data sets.Expertise in working with data from Python-based models and integrating it into interactive dashboards or visual environments.Familiarity with data analysis, data mining, and visualization frameworks, particularly in defense or government settings.Strong communication skills to translate technical requirements into actionable design concepts.Security Clearance: ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Clearance.What We Offer:
