Private Equity Director
to join our
Private Equity Team
in Newport Beach, CA. This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.As a Private Equity Director, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by sourcing, analyzing, and evaluating private equity funds and co-investments. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of eight people in Pacific Private Fund Advisors LLC, a SEC registered investment advisor wholly owned by Pacific Life.How you'll help move us forward:Source, diligence, reference, model, and analyze private equity fund investments and co-investments for both Pacific Life's General Account and for third-party investors.
Evaluate investment opportunities based on qualitative and quantitative factors; apply a relative value analysis and a risk/reward framework.
Prepare written reports on due diligence findings.
Discuss recommendations for investment opportunities with the PPFA team and formally present to the Investment Committee.
Develop, lead, and manage relationships with PPFA's investment partners, intermediaries, and limited partners.
Monitor portfolio (including attending AGMs and regular update calls/meetings) by maintaining a current and detailed view of underlying asset progress and performance.
Build internal presentations to further communicate PPFA's performance and future plans to the broader Pacific Life organization and senior management.
The experience you bring:7 - 10 years of private equity fund/co-investment underwriting experience.
4-year bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
Master's degree or CFA a plus.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
