Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Cloud Engineer role will possess strong execution (infrastructure, network, storage, OS (Win/Linux)) skills leveraging Cloud technologies in MS Azure and have a firm understanding of monitoring techniques and automation from an infrastructure perspective. Strong ITIL skills and system management expertise are essential.The Cloud Engineer will be part of the Hybrid Cloud Services team providing architecture, design, and implementation for cloud platforms; Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS. The Cloud Engineer will manage cloud platforms using DevOps methodologies, ensuring automation by managing CI/CD pipelines for cloud and application support. The Cloud Engineer will provide tier 2 and tier 3 support, working collaboratively with customers, application owners, and team members to ensure quality of service is provided to each client.
Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseExperience managing cloud platforms utilizing DevSecOps methodologies.Experience solutioning, implementing, and providing support for Azure cloud application environments.Experience with Azure cloud native components such as Networking, Firewalls, Peering, Security Groups, Availability Zones, Storage, Serverless, Load Balancers, Containerization, System Administration, Backups, Patching, etc.An understanding of how automation is utilized to deploy Azure Resources and Services.Experience implementing, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks within the Azure Cloud platform.Experience deploying, configuring, and integrating Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for proactive monitoring and logging of Azure Resources and Services along with alerting, reporting, and dashboarding.Experience performing upgrades and configuring automated patching to Virtual Machines and other Resources.
Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseHands-on experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform.Familiarity with third party firewall solutions such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.Experience with ServiceNow.Experience with IT service management best practices.
