A key technical member of a cross functional team that focuses on evaluating, defining & executing battery storage opportunities with cutting edge technologies. You will be responsible for the execution of projects from the design phase through to commissioning, while managing all engineering activities to ensure successful projects. The Tesla Energy team is committed, and fast moving. We are a group of Applications Engineers, Power Systems Engineers, and Project Engineers that sit at the center of business development, Tesla technology, and the deployment of stationary storage projects on the grid. As a member of our team, you will help to shape the success of our projects in various applications worldwide. You must have a genuine passion for engineering products that will fundamentally change the world's energy infrastructure and must want to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
Application of electrical engineering principles to identify issues & develop solutions relating to Battery Energy Storage projectsWork cross-functionally to ensure all engineering activity is progressing as needed to ensure successful projectsResponsible for project ownership and execution, which requires understanding/managing the scope and schedule and keeping all parties in syncInterface with internal customers (project managers, product engineers, sales team) and external customers (utilities, AHJs, contractors, end customers) to ensure consistent communicationIdentify gaps in scope and responsibility to ensure project success. This requires a comprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, and permitting concepts and rules of conductGenerate single line drawings, communication wiring diagrams, and Powerpack & Megapack system layouts for Battery Energy Storage projectsThis is diverse role where knowledge of basic design rules, constructability, permitting, utility requirements, and engineering fundamentals is expected. Expectations include a rock-solid work ethic and a strong team-oriented personality. RequirementsDegree in an Eengineering discipline or 3-5 years relevant experience as an Electrical/Project EngineerPower Systems, Electronics & CAD Skills are preferredExcellent communication and documentation skillsAbility to execute many projects and tasks in parallelKnowledge of development of the electrical construction drawing set are advantageousKnowledge of relevant standards and electrical studies for utility applications are advantageousKnowledge of Controls, Networking, SCADA are advantageousExperience in Renewables, PV, Battery storage, EPC, Generation system design, Microgrids

$100,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
