What we need:The Director Design is a high-level leader that is responsible for overseeing design strategy, design development process, and a Design team that focuses on the creation of innovative color/design solutions. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions that align with business goals and user needs.
What you'll do:
Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy aligned with overall business goals.
Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate design into the broader organizational strategy.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment between design efforts and overall product and business goals.
Collaborate with management to implement best practices.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of design projects.
Ensure projects are on schedule, within scope, and meet the highest quality standards.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations.
Integrate relevant design trends into the organization's design approach.
Ensure the highest quality and consistency of design deliverables.
Implement robust design review processes and quality assurance measures.
Perform other duties as needed.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
10+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of management experience.
Technical knowledge of roto-gravure printing, digital printing, and flooring production processes preferred.
For colorist-specific role, must be able to pass a colorblind test.
