Position Summary

The Director of Business Development will lead activities that support new business revenue growth and profitability at Guaranteed Cleaning Services. This role is responsible for driving new contractual sales and revenue generation, as well as supporting ownership with day-to-day business development activities. The Director will cultivate a pipeline of qualified prospects within predefined business segments and guide potential customers through the sales lifecycle. Collaborating closely with the operations team, the Director will oversee the bidding and estimating process, ensuring that pricing is competitive and new business opportunities are profitable.

Core Responsibilities

Utilize research tools and industry insights to identify and connect with high-quality prospects. Drive outreach efforts through calls, voicemails, and emails to create awareness, introduce our services, and explore new business opportunities.

Nurture prospects through the sales lifecycle, building strong relationships with key decision-makers and creating a robust network of potential clients through networking and industry events.

Maintain our CRM (HubSpot) with accurate and updated information on prospective customers and contacts, ensuring a clear view of our sales pipeline.

Collaborate with leadership weekly to discuss new ideas, share challenges, solve problems, and refine strategies for generating new leads.

Develop proposals that address prospect concerns and recommend solutions for unforeseen challenges, highlighting our industry expertise and knowledge.

Maintain reporting of leads, active pipeline evaluation, closing ratios, and sales forecasts in CRM.

Forecast annual sales targets in collaboration with ownership.

Represent our company mission, vision, and values at all times.

Challenge and support leadership in striving for excellence.

Pursue industry certifications such as RBSM or CBSE within 12 months of hire and master your field by attending seminars, conferences, and staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.

5+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in facilities services or a related industry.

Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales goals.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Established relationships within the cleaning industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (HubSpot) software.

Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time for proposal/RFP participation.
