Director of Business Development Job Summary: The Director of Business Development Regional reports to the VP, Strategy & Growth and is responsible for identifying, nurturing, developing and closing new business opportunities in the United States as part of the company’s leadership team.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for generating new business revenue through generation of leads, nurturing relationships with prospects, developing proposals, closing accounts, managing and expanding accounts.

Work with VP, Strategy & Growth to determine annual, quarterly & monthly sales objectives.

Develop expertise in Telliant’s services and align them with client business requirements.

Proactively prospect, identify, propose and close new business opportunities.

Manage sales process from opportunity identification to contract negotiations.

Be responsible for “new client” revenue of $1 million in first year.

Develop and maintain opportunity pipeline of qualified prospects equal to 3x annual revenue target.

Update and maintain CRM with all sales funnel information.

Provide market and competitive intelligence to management.

Experience & Qualifications:

10+ years of demonstrated success in sales and new business development.

5+ years of proven success in selling software development & IT project services.

Excellent understanding of software development process, tools, terminologies & methodologies.

Knowledge and fluency in the latest cloud, web and mobile technologies.

Proven and verifiable track record of achieving annual sales targets of $1 million or more.

Proven history of landing new accounts and a rich network of existing clients in metro Atlanta.

Experience in selling software services with global/offshore delivery teams will be a plus.

Experience in FinTech, Digital Health, Supply Chain, Education or Hospitality industries will be a plus.

Experience working with partners like Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP etc., will be a plus.

Experience using a CRM platform (e.g. Salesforce.com or Zoho).

Training in a sales methodology such as Sandler or Miller Heiman.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree.
