you will be part of the Americas Commercial Accelerator Leadership Team. You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Purpose Drives Purchase, our category management strategy at Molson Coors. This includes leading with analytics and insights to create tools and solutions for our national and regional account teams, advancing our space & assortment strategy via best-in-class execution of retail planograms, and acting as category advisor and strategist to key retailers via our retailer category captaincies. This position reports to the
Chief Commercial Enablement Officer
and works closely with various key stakeholders across our Sales business.The Responsibilities:Most importantly, you will lead a team of ~90 talented colleagues and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations.Category Solutions:
You will lead the advancement of our company category management strategy by building collaborative partnerships with key retail buyers and Molson Coors retail teams to create solutions that advance the category in space & assortment, feature and promotion, category insights and in-store merchandising. You will create and deploy a learning and development plan for all company category management resources that establishes Molson Coors as first choice with our retail customers.Retail Merchandising:
Lead a team of ~75 merchandising specialists and analysts that partner with retailers to develop retail planograms. You will also work collaboratively with regional and national sales teams to bring data, analytics, and category insights to optimize space & assortment strategies. From there, you will convert those strategies to requirements and develop retailer planograms for the beer category that are executed by our distributors.Category Advisor:
This position is a highly visible category advisor for Walmart, leading a direct team that supports the Walmart buying team with category and segment insights that advance the Beer category in store and online. This includes relationship management with the Walmart leadership as well as leadership of an ~11-person team of category managers and retail merchandising specialists.The Other Qualifications:You are an authentic leader who exhibits our core values.You value and respect differences and believe inclusion and belonging is the key to collaboration and a winning team culture.You have a bachelor’s degree in business or analytics OR equivalent experience (12+ years) in the field of progressive sales, category management, or consumer & shopper insights.You have prior experience in a sales role influencing category buyers at key customers.You have prior experience analyzing syndicated and custom data sources to identify key insights.You have prior experience creating sell stories that influence senior audience.You can create solutions that advance all pillars of category management (space & assortment, feature and promotion, category insights, in-store merchandising).You can translate strategy in action plans and tools.You have a strong understanding of category pricing disciplines, margin, and mix management.You build relationships in a matrixed environment and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.You take accountability for results – acting with
