Tuvli, an Akima company, is hiring for a Conflict Data Analyst II to support our DoS client located in Washington, DC. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!ResponsibilitiesWorks with AA teams, regional teams, CPP, and EX-IT in developing analytical products, interactive dashboards, and other creative data visualization for priority CSO analysis products.Supports the deployment and management of CSO’s Instability Monitoring and Analysis Platform (IMAP) to include content curation and systems administration.Ensures conflict analysis products and IMAP content are kept up to date and are founded in rigorous political science theories.Manages data streams for the Advanced Analytics teams including keeping up to date internal repositories for public and official sources.Supports the development of new and continuing social media analytics tools, and other emerging technology as needed, for early warning and conflict prediction.Supports implementation of the Advanced Analytics outreach plan including coordinating events, interactive IMAP trainings, and Department and Interagency briefings.Liaises with the early warning and conflict prevention communities (think tanks, academia) and interagency.Contributes to internal analytical quality control including methodological reviews of Advanced Analytics analysis products.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant qualitative or quantitative field such as: International Affairs, Public Administration, Public Policy, International Development, Strategic Studies, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.Two years’ experience with common data visualization tools to include interactive dashboards and other creative solutions, such as Insights for ArcGIS and Tableau.Two years’ experience with data management.History of creative problem solving and successfully collaborating.Demonstrated experience in communicating insights from structured and unstructured data to nontechnical audiences.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with social media analytics and its uses.Preferred background in the analysis of conflict, international relations, or foreign policy.Pay Range$100,000 - $105,000Regular - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
