Astrolab is seeking a visionary Director of Sales & Business Development with a unique blend of business acumen, technical expertise and leadership experience to drive our lunar payload delivery business. The ideal candidate will excel at selling our lunar payload delivery services to a diverse customer base, including engineers, government entities, brands, and space enthusiasts. What You'll Do
Technical Engagement:
Engage and build relationships with potential customers, who often possess deep technical knowledge, to effectively communicate the technical aspects of our lunar payload delivery services
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to target customers in the aerospace, government, and scientific communities, driving revenue growth and market expansion
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes, providing insights to shape Astrolab's business strategies and offerings
Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and research institutions, fostering collaborations and mutually beneficial partnerships
Contract Negotiation:
Lead negotiations for contracts, agreements, and partnerships, ensuring favorable terms for Astrolab while building long-term relationships with customers and partners
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead a dynamic team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence while providing guidance and support to achieve business development objectives
Strategic Planning:
Work closely with the executive team to define long-term business development goals, aligning with Astrolab's mission, vision, and business requirements
What's Prepared You Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) or business field
5+ years’ of experience in the business development or sales of a technical product/system, selling services to government entities or in brand sponsorship.
3+ years’ of experience leading a team of any size
Proven track record in business development or sales
Passion for space/planetary exploration and a solid eagerness to learn the aerospace industry
Leadership skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability to drive business growth and innovation
