Hammond, Louisiana.

North Oaks Health System

is one of the area’s largest and most progressive health systems. Strategically based between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, the organization includes a 330-bed acute care hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, a 27-bed medical rehabilitation hospital, a freestanding surgical center, two diagnostic centers and the largest multispecialty provider clinic in the region. This is a Sodexo Full-Service, Fee account, with 2600+ healthcare team members.

The

General Manager 5-Food

at this location will manage 54 team members and have oversight of 3 managers and 4 Dietitians, utilizing a host/hostess patient dining program. Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years prior General Manager experience in a healthcare setting, proven leadership and relationship building capabilities.

The successful candidate will:

have oversight of day-to-day operations;

successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff;

deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations;

achieve company and client financial targets and goals;

develop and maintain client and customer relationships (i.e., comfortable in c-suite settings where communication skills are imperative when serving as top level site management);

develop strategic plans;

ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance;

have daily interaction with patients, their families and clinical team to ensure patient satisfaction;

create a positive environment;

ensure Sodexo standards are met.

prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;

demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS), The Market Connection (TMC), Sodexo Menu Graphics (SMG), Catertrax and be proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This does not apply to external candidates.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Basic Management Experience - 5 years.

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years.
