President and CEO
United Way, Houston, Texas, United States,
UWTC is seeking a dynamic organizational leader who can compellingly articulate the mission and vision and will extend the impact of UWTC through their leadership throughout Tarrant County. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President and CEO will also lead in communicating the vision and program objectives to internal and external constituencies and will work collaboratively with the board, staff, and volunteers in formulating policy, developing strategy, raising funds, and achieving performance standards. Key achievements for the President and CEO will be best defined in terms of the organization’s success in having more measurable impact within our four focus areas – Community Response, Financial Empowerment, Community Health, and Education and Learning.
The next President and CEO of UWTC will serve as the organization’s primary representative in the community, representing the organization to internal and external stakeholders including its employees, board members, businesses, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, clients, and residents. The successful candidate will possess a high level of broad business and leadership skills to effectively lead the operations and ensure the organization is well-run and financially strong. Additionally, the President and CEO will connect people to the mission and purpose of the United Way so that it will continue to be seen as a relevant and necessary component of the broader social services community. Specifically, this includes:
Community Leadership
– Provide collaborative leadership for and with community partners, leaders, and agencies.
Organizational Leadership
– Participate in partnership with the Board of Directors in setting organizational direction, developing organizational goals and operational plans, and achieving goal-based results. Lead succession planning initiatives to ensure the right leaders are in place.
Development and Management of Resources
– Oversee growth and management of United Way’s human and financial resources.
Accountability for Operations and Fiscal Integrity
– Maintain accountability for the overall operational and fiscal integrity of the organization within the policies set by the Board of Directors.
