Job Description
Numerator is currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team. This multi-department facing position will offer opportunities to drive better business partnering and insights, while also growing your communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the Sales, Services, and Product teams in the reporting and planning processes and deliver value-added analysis to our stakeholders. You must have a love for numbers and problem-solving, and want to make a positive impact with your work.
What You’ll Do:
Assist the Finance team and other functional department heads in key business projects and initiatives, with a focus on our Purchase / Insights business.
Play an engaged role in the development of annual business plans and budgets, periodic strategic and long-range planning and other ad hoc analyses and reports.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of models, forecasts and key business metrics, utilizing our cloud-based planning tool, Adaptive Insights.
Identify and understand the impact of variances to the annual plan and forecasts.
Develop understanding of key business drivers, environmental factors and expense levers, and their financial and operational impact to the overall company.
Work directly with cross-functional business leaders to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding operating forecasts and trended future requirements.
Prepare and analyze revenue forecasts with a focus on professional services projections and headcount requirements.
Interpret large data sets to produce actionable information and recommendations.
Support M&A and Corporate Development activity, as required.
Leverage strong working knowledge of accounting and finance support systems including planning software, general ledger accounting systems and BI tools to facilitate analysis.
Skills & Requirements:
BS / BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience; must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions).
Self-motivated, creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to make quantitative and qualitative assessments of data.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
A record of accomplishment and delivery against goals.
Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, and Adaptive Insights is a plus.
Software / SaaS / technology experience preferred, but not required, as is experience supporting a recurring revenue / subscription business model.
