We seek candidates who bring physics-inspired approaches (e.g. developing instrumentation and other methods, or framing questions) to any area of biology including information processing by structures ranging from cells to brains; dynamics and mechanics ranging from molecules to cells, tissues, and development; evolution, ecology, and engineering of microbes or the immune system. Applicants are expected to develop a research program which will particularly attract graduate students with physics backgrounds.
