San Diego CA Renewable Group United States of AmericaSOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.Job Description Summary:The Energy Storage Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in the administration and coordination of the daily operations of the project site to deliver a safe and quality project. Support successful execution of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects through diligent management and tracking of quality, documentation, and supply chain.Job Description:*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.This position is located on the job site so travel will be required.Position Responsibilities and Duties:Lead the implementation of the project quality planReview, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team membersPerform document control functions during the execution of the project to include submittals and Requests for Information (RFI)Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft personsCoordinate delivery logistics with vendors including tracking onsite material.Collect, maintain, and timely submit project closeout documentationResponsible for ensuring all drawing redlines are captured accurately and are ultimately developed into record drawings for submittal to ownerEngage peers, managers, and other SOLV Energy business partners with lessons learned and innovative ideas for continuous improvementContinuously compare detailed project design parameters and major component quantities with project estimate as a baseline and report quantity deviations to Project Manager and Project Design Lead for review prior to acceptance for purchaseEnforce and promote a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing SOLV standards and OSHA policies, procedures and guidelinesAssist the site management team in displaying and promoting the company values, tenets and culture while representing the company in a professional mannerObjectives or Goals to Measure Performance:Project documentation is complete and up to dateProject quality objectives are metProject supply chain is tracked and monitored such that field team is continuously informed of delivery timing, delays, and sequencing changes and can effectively plan the workProject completed on scheduleCustomer/Client SatisfactionPositive project team attitudeImproved personal professional growth and educationMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:Strong computer and organizational skillsCommunicate effectively with diverse populationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceAbility to work, analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independentlyStrong knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques, and practicesEffective written and verbal English communication skillsStrong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinateDuties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or modified as required by the organizationPhysical Demands and Environmental Conditions:Requires frequent stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 50 or more lbsConstant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, talk, and possess depth perceptionOccasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed placesOccasional exposure to environmental conditionsSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
