Position Summary
Royal Caribbean Group, a leader in the Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality industry, is a fast-growing multinational cruise operator. The company is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst in the Capital Planning department. The department controls and guides decision making for RCG’s capital expenditures. Aligned with the Company’s strategic planning process, the department provides a long-range plan for the capital asset portfolio as well as provides the tools necessary for business leaders to make investment decisions. The position supports the Capital Planning team through the capital process, from submission through approving, executing, and monitoring investments.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate bi-weekly Capital Committee meetings and work closely with Corporate Officers to provide analysis, reporting and recommendations of both current and future Capital projects to Executive Management and the Board of Directors.Ensure all formal Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) documentation is submitted in accordance with deadlines and the Company’s CAR policy.Evaluate CAR submissions for scope and financials to align with corporate goals; coordinate with teams on review cycles.Manage Accounting Review of CAR submissions, following-up with various stakeholders as needed.Own creation of summary and analytics for review.Track and obtain necessary approvals based on CAR spend thresholds, including interacting with the Company Officers and Executive Committee members.Support the administration of the Company’s Capital Appropriation Request tool. This includes the supervision of the electronic approval process, as well as the opening, closing and amending of all projects and providing technical support to all users of the application.Execute processes to allow for routine analytical review of Capital spend and performance to provide recommendations to Management.Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to track key milestones and reporting for Capital projects in collaboration with project managers.Review new, existing, and historical investments to guide decision-making using financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar with applicable coursework in Corporate Finance, Strategy, Accounting, Economics and Statistics.Internship or maximum 1-2 years of work experience required in Finance and/or Strategy functions.
Knowledge And Skills
Advanced use and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications.Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with EPM, JD Edwards World or other database management system a plus.Experience with PowerBI and/or Power Automate preferred.Ability to work well under pressure and problem solve with diverse groups.
