Who we are looking forCharles River provides an end-to-end solution to automate investment management functions across asset classes on a single platform. Delivered as a hosted service, the solution improves data quality and investment professional productivity, controls risk and lowers technology costs. The Systems Analyst will manage and support all aspects of production Charles River IMS systems for multiple clients as part of Charles River SaaS Operations and SaaS strategy. Working closely with clients, provide application administration and support for client production.

CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. What you will be responsible forUser administration/privilegesConfiguration and testing of software changes and operational processesInterface/integration configuration, testing, and supportAssistance resolving escalated problemsMigration of changes and problem resolutions to production environmentsSystem availabilityPerformance troubleshootingCharles River IMS and database software patchesCharles River IMS version upgradesBusiness Continuity/Disaster Recovery assistanceWorking with CRD colleagues to smoothly transition new clients to production operationWorking with vendors as partners to deliver a tightly integrated, seamless service to Charles River ClientsParticipation in the development and ongoing refinement, enhancement, and continuous process improvement for the servicesParticipation in the investigation, implementation, and operation of 3rd party tools to enhance/improve, automate, and streamline the delivery of the services
Education & Preferred QualificationsA BS degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a BA in Finance or Business with an IT concentrationA minimum of 4+ years of progressively responsible experienceExperience in managing and supporting mission-critical production software applications is requiredExperience with SQL, MS SQL ServerProven ability to work in a mission-critical operations and production support environmentExperience or familiarity with servers and networks is preferredProven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer serviceBreak down moderately complex processes into simple and reliable componentsExperience with automation using scripting languages such as Python/Perl and PowerShellExcellent customer service skills, technical troubleshooting skills, and interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsDatabase software or IT technical experienceCharles River IMS or securities trading software experience is preferredA background in portfolio management and trading system applications is preferredAny experience with the following is preferred: databases, server operating systems, servers, networks, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, clusters/high availability systems, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, FIXStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple, simultaneous prioritiesProven organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to achieve results without close supervisionSelf-motivated with the ability to operate independently and also has the strong desire to work as a member of a teamDemonstrated practical, hands-on, "can-do" approach, and the ability to work efficiently and creativelyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFlexibility with schedule and ability to work beyond regular business hours for period off hours support
