Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as
Director of Admissions
for the College of Health Sciences. The selected candidate will be responsible for the formulation and execution of a comprehensive plan to attract students to the programs within the college which include: Speech Language Pathology, Physician Assistant Studies, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, PhD/DHSc, and future programs such as nursing.
In addition to supervising all Admissions Office activities and personnel, the candidate selected will represent the college at recruitment fairs, forums, and panels; counsel students regarding the admissions process; develop a comprehensive recruitment plan; develop articulation, pre-admission, and other admission agreements; and implement strategies and policies to meet the specific goals for recruiting and yielding of prospective students. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position.
Summary of Duties:
Responsible for the selection, motivation, observation, and evaluation of departmental personnel
Serve as a liaison with Program Admissions Committees
Review and process student applicant files
Contact and counsel prospective students; visit colleges and universities to recruit prospective students
Attend recruiting events such as forums hosted by program specific conferences and university graduate fairs
Forge and maintain relationships with undergraduate advisors, college professors, and other influencers who may refer prospective students
Utilize CAS systems to identify and recruit prospects and communicate with prospective and admitted students
Develop promotional items, recruiting materials and communications for the college
Coordinate the planning and implementation of tours and on-campus events for new and prospective students and applicants; assist in the planning and implementation of an Open House for admitted applicants
Ability to travel during the recruitment cycle, including overnight, evening and weekend work
Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree with relevant experience considered
Prior experience with graduate school recruiting and admissions or health-related graduate admissions experience preferred; other experience in higher education administration will be considered
Experience working with quantitative data, social media platforms, communication creation and website maintenance preferred
Practicing Christian who is committed to the encouragement of Christian education; Active member of the church of Christ preferred
