Faulkner University's College of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified individual who desires to educate health care professionals in a Christ-centered environment to serve as
Director of Clinical Education for the School of Nursing (BSN)
program. The candidate will serve as a liaison between the baccalaureate nursing program and the clinical education sites by establishing clinical education site and facility standards, selecting and evaluating clinical education sites, and facilitating ongoing development of clinical education sites and clinical faculty. As a program faculty member, this individual is involved in generating and delivering classroom lectures and clinical skills instruction within the basic medical and clinical science topics for which he/she is qualified. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for student engagement and advancing the mission of the University and the College. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time, 9-month position. Faculty rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with academic qualifications, teaching experience, and research.
Qualifications:
Graduate level degree in a healthcare-related area required (master's acceptable; doctorate preferred)
Active, unencumbered Alabama registered nurse license or a multistate registered nurse license issued by a party state
Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification or willingness to become certified
Minimum of five years nursing experience; prior teaching experience preferred
Active member of the church of Christ preferred
