POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corporate Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides support to the Corporate Human Resources team in assisting field hotels with team member relations issues and activities, including but not limited to team member relations, compliance, audits, hotline calls, team member communication, benefits and workers’ compensation coordination and administration.
The Corporate Human Resources Administrative Assistant must possess a strong passion and affinity for the human resources profession and be a team player with an engaging and approachable style. This individual must possess professional and personal agility and flexibility, combined with strong problem-solving skills. Having the ability to collaborate and the initiative to drive for results is key. This individual will be highly results-oriented, driven, focused and able to balance multiple priorities and issues.
This individual reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and works closely with the corporate and hotel key leadership teams to drive the desired results through people strategies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES of Human Resources Administrative Assistant: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Work under the VP of Human Resources’ supervision and coordinate hotel workers’ compensation claims with hotels and corporate risk management
Report, maintain and monitor all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.
Follow up and enforce employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Assist in organization and management of manage annual open enrollment communications and election process.
Maintain and coordinate employee recognition or wellness programs
Assist Corporate Senior HR Manager in managing internal HR assessment calendar for the company, maintaining a proactive record of results, pre-audit checklist completion, and related training efforts and task force assistance for hotels.
Assist Corporate Senior HR Manager and VP HR in managing team member relations issues in conjunction with field HR leaders.
Assist with recruitment tasks as necessary
Manage and ensure timeliness responses of all Unemployment Claims
Embrace and demonstrate B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group’s mission and values in daily interactions by fostering an environment of a service culture committed to service excellence
Ensure proper communication to property Human Resources teams as appropriate with follow up and tracking of compliance
Work with Corporate HR team to create and communicate orientation and onboarding expectations to field hotels and corporate hospitality
Handle invoices allocations for the Human Resources Department
Record keeping process including creating and maintaining team member files
Coordinate any purchases Resources supplies and tools, including but not limited to, OSHA DVD trainings, Team member pay cards etc.
Provide back-up Executive Assistance to the President of the Hospitality Group
Coordinate Management Orientation, HR huddles
Front desk receptionist coverage
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS/ABILITIES) of Human Resources Administrative Assistant:
Demonstrated knowledge in all generalist areas of HR
Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Ability to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Office Skills
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS of Human Resources Administrative Assistant:
3-5 years of progressive experience in an Administrative Assistant position
Hotel experience preferred
High school, 2 years college and/or certification in trade related field
$60,000 - $75,000 a year
The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
