SME Data Scientist
Overview of the Position:
ECOMPEX, Inc., a premiere Government Contract (Gov-Con) service provider, is seeking a SME Data Scientist to provide supportive services for our client. This position may be authorized for remote work.
The ECOMPEX career position supports the following:
Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional IT systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems.
Utilize advanced mathematical methods and subject matter expertise to compile and integrate data from multiple IT systems.
Identify and merge data sources, create visualizations, and apply machine learning to build models, using the scientific discovery process to obtain actionable knowledge related to a business problem.
Apply advanced analytical techniques like risk, compliance, statistical, grant lifecycle, and survey analysis to address specific problems.
Conduct data collection and analysis using tools such as Tableau, AWS, SAS, and SPSS for various reporting needs.
Utilize software/programming languages (R, Python, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI) to clean and transform data, using data wrangling techniques for complex datasets.
Develop clear visualizations and communicate statistical modeling results that can be easily comprehended by non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen.
Able to pass a Tier (T1) background investigation.
Must have 10 years of professional experience planning, conducting, and participating in the facets of performance requirements as described above.
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Bachelor’s degree may be substituted in combination of 15 years of relevant experience described above.
Must have working knowledge of federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration.
Technical experience with data models, data mining, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques.
Expertise developing interrogating databases with Structure Query Language (SQL).
Development experience, with a focus on data manipulation and/or statistics, using Python, R, SAS, Tableau, AWS.
Experience coding and debugging stored procedures.
Primary work location:

Travel is required for this position.
