Freddie Mac’s Investments & Capital Markets (I&CM) Business Technology Office is looking for a Tech Lead Data Engineer who enjoys data and building data platforms from ground up using microservices architecture. Our ideal candidate is passionate about data management in the cloud and helping people use the technology to transform their business processes and analytics.You will be part of a group that supports a variety of internal customers. You will analyze, design, and develop data storage and data analytic solutions using data lake patterns, that help our customers run more effective operations and make better business decisions.Our Impact:

Scrum/agile based development and hands-on architecture in data science domain.Architectural participation in supporting technologies supporting modelling, AI, data governance and access.Analyze, guide, lead, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines and ETL process for large-scale data integration.Collaborate with data analysts and other engineers to define data needs and build solutions that drive business insights.Architect, develop, test, and deploy code for data extraction, transformation and loading processes (ETL/ELT).Qualifications:
Strong proficiency (8+ yrs) in Python programming language (Nice to have: Scala, Java).Strong proficiency in Spark SQL, SQL, Gremlin, GraphQL and database management (Snowflake cloud-based warehousing).Strong experience with data processing frameworks, DataFrames, Apache Spark, Graph DBs.Experience with cloud platform AWS (EMR, EKS, Lambda).Experience writing statistical and/or optimization programs to develop models and algorithms. Programming languages may include—but are not limited to—Python, R.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.Keys to Success in this Role:

site.This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $143,000 - $215,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
