Our Impact:The Automated Underwriting and Risk Assessment (AURA) Product Portfolio is responsible for Freddie Mac’s customer facing technology products that enable them to originate and close Freddie Mac eligible loans. This includes our automated underwriting system (LPA), closing technologies (LQA and LCLA), and innovative offerings like ACE and AIM as well as our affordable mortgage products. We provide Data enablement to support Test and learns with lenders and vendors and Reporting across different offerings.

We also manage the creation and maintenance of internal risk tools that are required to complete performance reviews on our offerings and Vendor data quality assessments.

Your Impact:You will play a meaningful role in the success of our company's data initiatives. You will need to be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:Lead a team in design, development, and maintenance of our company's data infrastructure.

Develop and implement data processing and storage solutions that are scalable, impactful, and reliable.

Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and accessible for analysis.

Build and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems to ensure that they are operating at maximum efficiency.

Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions to meet those requirements.

Manage and prioritize projects to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.

Hire, train, and mentor team members.

Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

8 - 10+ years in data engineering or related field.

2+ years of experience managing a team of data engineers.

Solid understanding of database management systems, data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies.

Must be proficient in Snowflake, SQL, UNIX, and Shell Scripts.

Expert in data modeling and data architecture.

Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Keys to Success in this Role:Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment requiring effective management of multiple deadlines and priorities.

Strong attention to detail and well-organized.

Demonstrated eye for business, problem-solving skills, intellectual maturity, and the ability to resolve conflict while preserving relationships.

Knowledge of prominent and emerging 3rd-party vendor tools that support the mortgage origination and selling process.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with agile methodologies.

site.This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $148,000 - $222,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity, and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
