Position Summary for Site Coordinator:Kama’aina Kids is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to join our team as a
Site Coordinator
in our After School programs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of an after-school program. This includes providing leadership & support for program staff.Schedule:The typical schedule for
After School
is Monday through Friday, from 1:30 or 2pm until 5:30pm. Some programs operate
Before School
from 5:45 or 6:30am until 8am. Hours may vary slightly by school and program needs. However,
No Evenings or Weekends!
Site Coordinators average about 20 hours per week.Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is
preferred , but candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in educating students will also be considered.A passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive impact on their lives on a daily basis.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive relationships with both families and coworkers.Must also be able to create a dynamic and enjoyable learning environment.Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to handle multiple tasks and situations effectively.Experience in a supervisory role within a child care or education environment is appreciated.Site Coordinators will supervise and support Group Leaders as they implement the program each day. They often interact with school officials and parents. Some time is also spent each week on administrative duties including training, recruiting, marketing, and monitoring program quality.A Typical Day in the After School Program for
Group Leaders :Greet the children as they arrive.Help children get a snack as they wind down after a busy school day.Assist with homework.Play board games or cards.Facilitate a craft project.Supervise a group of children as they play outdoors.Judge a singing or dance contest.Help build a Lego village.Guide children as they follow a recipe for slime or a fun treat!Greet families as they arrive to pick up their child for the day.Go home with the satisfaction of making a difference today!Kama’aina Kids Benefits:
