Tilt is looking for a Vice President, Finance to join our team and help us scale our business by leading all finance efforts for Tilt and proactively working with the leadership team to meet and beat the company’s strategic objectives and annual operating goals. This position is a full-time role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. We want you to be successful here at Tilt! Below is a description of your role and responsibilities, including the things you will be held accountable for and the virtues, behaviors and competencies that are expected for this role.Job Description: Roles & ResponsibilitiesOwn the financial budgeting and forecasting processes, with a focus on cost management and profitability in alignment with the company’s vision and plan.Partner with the leadership team to develop plans and assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy.Collaborate with functional leaders to identify key business trends, present actual vs. forecast variances, highlighting risk and opportunities to the business.Enhance and expand company KPI dashboards to give business leaders the data they need to make better, well-informed operational decisions.Partner with the Sales organization to establish sales plans, quotas, commission plans and ensure timely and accurate payments of commissions.Work with the accounting team on a timely and complete monthly close process.Serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors, ensuring clear and consistent communication about the company’s financial performance.Assist in the creation of reimagined financial reporting packages and board presentations and interact with the board to provide financial insights and updates.Lead strategic planning decisions in the areas of pricing, capital financing and new product line or market opportunities.Lead, coach and mentor accounting and FP&A teammates.Engage with partners in areas of banking, insurance and tax.Oversee cap table and stock administration.You’re a great fit ifYou have a proven track record of leading a top notch Series B finance organization including accounting and FP&A teams to support the business and drive results.You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or MBA with minimum 10+ years of FP&A related experience, and at least 5 years of leadership experience.You have a deep understanding of SAAS KPI/metrics, setting annual budgets, uncovering trends and assessing business risk.You possess strong business acumen with an ability to make sound business decisions leveraging data analysis.You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization - including the Board of Directors.You are a demonstrated strategic thinker, proven capable of integrating diverse inputs, encouraging innovation, and challenging the status quo, all while managing multiple tasks against deadlines.Demonstrated success in recruiting, building, developing, coaching, and retaining a motivated, high-performing team.You have high levels of empathy and can connect deeply with Tilt’s mission.You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments and know that we need your help to figure things out.You are comfortable using a lot of systems at once, and have the ability to learn software quickly (bonus if you have selected and integrated a new ERP).You’re fearlessly flexible, curious; aka you thrive in this environment and love a challenge!You have experience working with a startup and/or with a B2B SaaS business.Virtues/CompetenciesHealth & Family FirstYou balance work and personal life effectively.
