Analyze large data sets to develop multiple custom machine learning and natural language processing models, algorithms, and software systems to drive innovative business solutions. Work on large project teams to provide analytical support, technical direction, and guidance to an assigned area for large projects (for example, search relevance, query understanding, and customer insights) within Walmart eCommerce. Build large data sets from multiple sources to develop algorithms for predicting future data characteristics. Responsible for testing, validating, and applying algorithms to large data sets. Test the algorithms so they can be applied to future data sets and provide the appropriate search results. Research new trends in the industry and utilize up-to-date technology (for example, HBase, MapReduce, Cassandra, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Transformers, and BERT) and analytical skills to support assigned projects. Validate models using A/B testing and deploy them to production.Minimum education and experience required:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field;

OR

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in an analytics or related field.Skills required:

Experience coding in one of the following object-oriented programming languages: Python, R, or Java. Experience with analysis and development of machine learning models in Python or R. Experience with extraction, cleaning, and processing of large datasets present in relational databases using SQL and Spark. Experience performing exploratory data analysis to determine relevant features and signals, and accordingly prepare datasets for modeling. Experience analyzing and implementing scalable and efficient algorithms to solve fundamental problems in computer science and Machine Learning. Experience evaluating model performance using metrics including recall, precision, F1 score, and AUC. Experience tracking project changes using version control software including Git and SVN. Experience utilizing state-of-the-art mathematical and statistical techniques.

Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.Salary Range:

$138,911/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.Benefits:
