Ensure our company's Calibre product builds are made available at multiple sites by monitoring the process and fixing cross-site issues, if they arise. In addition, ensure that the builds are usable by the R&D (Research & Development) and QA teams, working with those teams to troubleshoot any issues and have them addressed. Maintain and enhance internal build infrastructure tools. Specifically, support and enhance company's Calibre product build infrastructure tools, build system and internal infrastructure used by the department (R&D and QA), utilizing knowledge of Linux, bash, gmake and DET (internal system). Support R&D and QA teams by providing procedures for the correct usage of the tools and helping with coordinating enhancements to the build system, infrastructure and tools. Provide day-to-day support for R&D and QA. Work on third party software integration (specifically third party/open source software tools) by building and linking them to the company's Calibre product. Ensure and support the third party/open source software integrated with the company's Calibre product. Ensure host configuration are deemed fit for the division by researching the needs and implementing the changes as needed. Implement the security enhancements on the infrastructure that supports the Calibre division of our company. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Consult with internal customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. Determine system performance standards. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Train users and junior staff, answer questions, as well as provide technical support to them.Requirements:
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field and 48 months of experience in the job offered or in a Configuration Management-Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following:Working with Shell Scripting, Python Scripting, and Perl Scripting;Working with C++;Utilizing Linux;Working with Calibre Product Build System Developer Environment Toolkit (DET);Working with Calibre infrastructure;Maintaining and enhancing internal build infrastructure tools, internal build system, and internal infrastructure used by Research and Development (R&D) and QA Engineers;Working on third party software integration used in the Calibre tool to accelerate products' development process.Telecommuting may be permissible pursuant to company policy.Hybrid roleReferral Program:
