Global Private Equity Technical Manager

The Carlyle Group seeks a highly experienced technical professional to spearhead technology development efforts for the Corporate Private Equity team. The focus will be on capturing data from Carlyle portfolio companies, architecting a comprehensive data solution, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all related systems. A successful candidate must have a strong technical background, and experience leading an Agile team in delivering complex technology solutions, preferably within the financial sector.Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Lead an agile team, fostering collaboration, growth, and accountability.Technical Oversight:
Provide guidance to developers, helping them resolve technical challenges and ensuring best practices in code quality, performance, and security.Design & Architecture:
Work closely with the team to design and develop scalable, high-performance solutions in line with project goals and company standards.Collaboration:
Partner with product owners and the scrum master to prioritize tasks and stories, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Agile Process:
Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing input on team velocity and progress.Cloud Integration:
Drive the adoption and integration of cloud solutions (such as AWS and Snowflake).Stakeholder Communication:
Regularly communicate project updates, challenges, and technical decisions to senior management and key stakeholders.Qualifications
Education & CertificatesConcentration in computer science or related technical discipline, preferred.Professional Experience7+ years of relevant experience with data related technologies, required.3+ years of experience leading software delivery teams and coordinating amongst multiple delivery teams.Experience with entity relationship modelling, data architecture layers and design, metadata systems and tools, data quality tools and techniques.Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, C#, Cloud technologies (AWS preferred).Proven experience leading teams through the full SDLC, with a focus on data solutions.Expertise in data architecture, with a track record of implementing scalable and efficient systems.Experience in managing production support, including root cause analysis and issue remediation.Ability to collaborate effectively with internal clients, business teams, and contractors.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.The anticipated base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $165,000.In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs.
