The Director of Enrollment Services provides strategic leadership and oversight for all enrollment functions across Grays Harbor College’s locations in Grays Harbor, Pacific County and surrounding counties. This role manages the full enrollment cycle—from inquiry to registration—ensuring seamless processes that enhance student recruitment, admissions, and retention. The Director leads a team dedicated to supporting student success and acts as the college’s Registrar, responsible for safeguarding the integrity of student records and data. Key responsibilities include oversight of academic records, student aid, and enrollment management. The Director also plays a pivotal role in maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for current and prospective students in the college's Student Services Center. This position will report directly to the Dean of Student Services & Enrollment Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for the registration, records, credential evaluation, degree conferring, and residency processes.
Ensure timely and effective communication with prospective students from inquiry through to enrollment.
Leverage enrollment and retention data to inform business decisions and drive quarterly enrollment strategies.
Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure the accuracy of program information, including the academic calendar, college catalog, and quarterly schedules.
Maintain compliance with FERPA and other relevant state and federal regulations governing student records.
Continuously improve enrollment processes to ensure an integrated, inclusive, and equitable approach that meets student needs.
Manage the accurate maintenance of curriculum information in the college’s ERP system, including course descriptions, degree requirements, and class data.
Oversee the development of a simplified and coordinated entry process for students.
Act as the college’s co-Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for international students, maintaining accurate SEVIS records.
Implement and maintain ctcLink and other systems to effectively manage student information and support outreach and retention efforts.
Serve as the subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, aligning GHC’s processes with state-wide ctcLink operations.
Assist the Dean in integrating emerging technologies to provide real-time access to registration and academic information.
Ensure timely evaluation of transfer credits and graduation requirements.
Supervise the maintenance and issuance of student grades and transcripts.
Approve athletic eligibility in coordination with the Athletics Department.
Oversee accurate reporting of enrollment data, ensuring compliance with SBCTC, National Student Clearinghouse, and federal reporting requirements.
Authorize the awarding of degrees, certificates, and diplomas, ensuring compliance with NWCCU, SBCTC, and ICRC standards.
Lead and organize commencement activities, including maintaining graduation files and issuing degrees.
Serve on relevant college committees and external councils to represent the college.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise full-time and part-time staff—including 1050’s and work-study student employees in the Enrollment Services department.
Provide leadership and oversight for the Student Services Center, ensuring it meets the needs of prospective and current students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a student services-related field, education or business or other related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible, professional level experience in higher education, in admissions/registration or student services, including four (4) years in a management or leadership capacity.
Qualification Expectations:
Expertise in higher education and student services, with advanced knowledge of college admissions, dual enrollment, registration, and payment processes.
Strong understanding of supervisory principles, budgeting practices, and strategic planning methods.
In-depth knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes relevant to higher education.
Proficiency in analytical methods, needs assessment techniques, and project management practices.
Skills in:
Supervising staff and ensuring effective performance.
Interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Analyzing issues, identifying solutions, evaluating potential outcomes, and making informed recommendations.
Preparing and managing budgets effectively.
Compiling, analyzing, and reporting data, including statistical analysis.
Developing and implementing strategic plans.
Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
Monitoring and responding to legal and regulatory changes.
Evaluating processes and recommending improvements.

Utilizing computer systems for communication, data management, and reporting.
