It’s possible!As a Senior Training Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering blended training and performance support solutions tied to James Hardie’s enterprise employee technology, platforms, and programs. Based out of our Chicago headquarters, you will work closely with project managers, platform owners, subject matter experts, and end-users to build and maintain a learning curriculum and performance support tools shaping the enterprise employee experience and productivity. Reporting to the VP, People Solutions, this position will have a significant role in shaping and establishing a best-in-class strategy to ensure James Hardie and its employees maximize the investment in critical business platforms and tools.What You’ll Do:Serve as the primary learning expert for James Hardie’s multi-year HR transformation strategy.Conduct training needs analysis and identify the best training methods and formats for each platform and audience to create a foundational learning curriculum.Create engaging and effective training materials, such as e-learning modules, instructor-led courses, videos, job aids, and assessments.Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of training sessions, both online and in-person, to various groups of end-users.Develop facilitator materials and conduct train-the-trainer sessions to support scalable instructor-led and on-the-job training interventions.Develop on-demand training and performance support resources.Ongoing content management of training curriculum and performance support tools, ensuring resources are relevant and up to date for all audiences.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of solutions, using various metrics and feedback tools.Maintain relationships with third-party platform vendors, leveraging vendor-provided training resources, collaborating on custom-built solutions, and staying informed of future platform enhancements/roadmaps.Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, workplace productivity, and emerging workplace technologies.The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.What You’ll Bring:Well-rounded learning generalist with experience designing, building, facilitating, maintaining, and enhancing training programs and curriculum.At least 5 years of experience in designing and delivering training solutions, preferably for large-scale enterprise platform rollouts.Experience collaborating with and leveraging vendor relationships and provided training resources to create best-in-class learning experiences.Strong experience working across various stakeholder groups to define, design, develop, and deploy blended learning and performance support resources.Experience managing multi-audience learning curriculum.Strong background in using online and media authoring tools, with a preference toward Articulate and Captivate.Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.Strong project management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of and experience with various technology platforms, such as Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft O365.Willingness to travel as needed and work in a hybrid environment.What You’ll Receive:At James Hardie, we recognize that our success depends on our people.
