(NAOVI) is an AA/EEO Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled.Job DescriptionNAOVI is seeking a qualified Sr. Communications/Speechwriter for the following task:Primary Responsibilities:Draft and edit speeches or scripts for senior executives for live or recorded delivery, testimony, and statements for Congressional Record.Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align external and internal engagements with overall organizational messaging and goals.Advise and coach leadership on presenting and delivering talking points to ensure effectiveness and engagement, while also providing guidance on broader communication strategies.Prepare assignments based on subject matter experts' input to ensure speech contents accuracy and relevance, integrating key organizational messages and themes.Ensure all strategic communications are consistent with organizational and publication standards and tailored to the intended audience.Provide mentorship and training to junior staff on effective speech writing, editing techniques, and strategic communications principles.Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and other tools to enhance the presentation and delivery of speeches and other communication materials.Conduct research to ensure accuracy, and proofread and edit content for clarity, readability, and accessibility based on the medium and strategic objectives.Analyze audience feedback and metrics to refine speech content and broader communication strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging across various communication channels.Develop communication plans and prepare leadership for potential public relations challenges.Initiate, plan, execute, and report on strategic communication tasks independently, as identified.Coordinate with social media teams to amplify key messages from speeches across digital platforms.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 18 years of experience, Master’s degree and 10 years’ experience or no degree and 24 years of experience in Communication, Journalism, or a related field.Must Currently Possess an Active TS-SCI w/CI Poly security clearance is
required .Clearance Notice:
*Candidates without the required clearance will NOT be considered for this position.*Demonstrated experience in drafting, editing, and delivering speeches or scripts for various audiences and occasions.Proficiency in utilizing tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite to enhance speech content and presentation.Strong ability to convey complex information in a clear and simple manner to diverse audiences.Proven track record of mentoring and training others in effective speech writing and presentation techniques.Familiarity with MS Office Suite, collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint, as well as other necessary software for creating compelling speech content.Experience in providing communication support, including the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of various materials.
