link.Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Unit Computing Specialist for University Human Resources – HR Info Systems & Technology department.Position Summary
Among the key duties of this position are the following:Provides support to the hardware and software needs of desktops, laptops, docking stations, and other IT equipment issued by UHR.Provides assistance with conference room AV equipment and phone/voice & video conferencing support.Assists with network connectivity issues, printer issues, and serves as the primary resource for resolving ServiceNow incident HRIT inquiries.Assists in new UHR employee equipment onboarding and backup for IT orientation to new employees.Handles offboarding separated employees, including collecting IT equipment and reimaging desktops/laptops to be put back into rotation.Moves and sets up IT equipment due to workspace relocations and equipment replacement.Maintains the UHR IT equipment inventory, monitoring equipment shortages/surplus and filing equipment repair requests.Position Status
Full TimeHours Per Week: 40FLSA: NonexemptPosition Salary: $60,000Terms of Appointment: Temporary Staff Appointment - Salaried 12 MonthQualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience as a Desktop Support Specialist, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role that includes software installation, configuration, and updates.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Proficiency with Windows operating systems.Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.Knowledge of network fundamentals and security practices.Posting Details
