Rutgers–Camden Ignite is a collaborative education program driven by and concentrated in the North Camden community, a neighborhood of Camden, New Jersey. IGNITE is looking for experienced facilitators/coaches in the areas of Visual Art, Performing Arts, Civics, Dance, Music, STEM, Literacy, Health & Nutrition/Physical Education, SEL, etc. The incumbent will lead academic and social enrichment activities for youth in an afterschool program and/or summer program that serves 3rd-8th grade in North and East Camden. The position will also be responsible for helping with student/family recruitment, student retention, evaluations, reports, social media posts, and planning activities during family engagement nights. Will also be required to help chaperone field trips and attend monthly professional developments.Position Status

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Also requires a minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience in an administrative and/or supervisory function, excellent communication skills, and computer literacy.- OR -Requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience in the discipline. A master’s degree in a specialized discipline may be required, particularly in research, project management or managerial positions. Also requires a minimum of five years experience and/or increasing functional responsibility in a leadership/managerial role. With a master’s degree requirement, a minimum of three years of related experience is acceptable. Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires a high school diploma and some college preferred but not required in a related field. Also requires a minimum of two years relevant work experience with Camden City students, excellent communication and computer literacy skills is a must, can develop their own fun and engaging weekly lesson plans and ability to work afterschool from 3pm-6pm Monday-Friday (not required to work every weekday) and/or in the summer between the hours of 8am-4pm (not required to work every weekday) and some Saturdays are required throughout the year for staff training and/or field trips.Posting Open Date
